METRO MANILA – Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) gives PNoy a failing mark on his 1st year in office, denouncing the government's continuing neglect and abandonment of education and other social services.

Pnoy surely wants his first year in office to be significant enough – he acceded to the proposal of Vice-Pres. Binay to grant a burial with full military honors to the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
“His parents must have turned from their graves upon hearing their son’s pronouncement and we, teachers were equally outraged too”, Ms France Castro, Secretary-general of Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) said.
